What We Are
Paarvarish means to nurture. Paarvarish came up with an endeavor to work in various fields of education to empower the marginalized sector of the society, to support them to lead a life with dignity and respect.
Paarvarish strive to include all sectors of the society, to bring them under the same umbrella, as we believe that working in exclusion cannot bring inclusion. Inclusive education needs to bring students from all sectors of the society together so that they grow and mature having mutual respect for each other.
Our History
Paarvarish had a very humble beginning in the year 2015 in the month of August with 5 dropouts. The team Paarvarish trained and taught them for one year. Today we can proudly state that they have passed the Senior Secondary Examination ’16 from ‘Rabindra Mukto Vidyalaya’.
September 15th 2016 – We included the intellectually challenged people in our target group and organized a colour therapy workshop for them. The main aim of this workshop was giving them an opportunity to express their emotions through colours. The main highlight of this workshop was an integrated approach wherein it included students from all sectors. Some came as volunteers and some participated.
We felt the necessity of inclusion as it brought about an impact on each individual and to our surprise, we found a young group who became sensitive towards the emotional need of the vulnerable group of the society. This desire to help generate our determination to bring about a change in the society.
Paarvarish started with a small resource room towards the end of 2015. Paarvarish developed an inclusive team of educators which included mainstream teachers, special educators, music expert, fine arts expert and physical instructor to teach and train the students with special needs and slow learners.
Founder’s Note
My journey with autism did not begin with expertise—it began with uncertainty.
I still remember the first time a young girl walked into my resource room. She had been asked to leave mainstream education, labelled with learning and behavioural challenges. I had no prior experience with autism, yet something in her eyes made me say yes.
That decision changed everything.

At Paarvarish, we believe that every child is unique—and so is their way of learning, expressing, and experiencing the world.
Children on the autism spectrum are not defined by limitations. They simply perceive and respond to the world differently. When we try to teach them through conventional methods, we often fail—not because they cannot learn, but because we are not reaching them the right way.
Reaching the Child Comes First
Before teaching begins, connection begins.
We focus on understanding:
- How the child expresses emotions
- What triggers distress
- What brings comfort and engagement
Because behavior is often a form of communication—especially when words are not enough.
Strength-Based Learning
Instead of focusing on what a child cannot do, we identify what they can do.
Each child’s Individual Educational Programme (IEP) is built around:
- Natural strengths
- Learning preferences
- Emotional needs
This allows learning to become meaningful rather than stressful.
Multi-Sensory Teaching Methods
Every child has a preferred way of learning.
We integrate:
- 🎨 Colours and visual tools
- 🎵 Music and rhythm
- 🎭 Art, movement, and expression
These methods help children:
- Communicate emotions
- Regulate behavior
- Engage with learning more naturally
Expression Before Correction
Many behavioral challenges arise when a child is unable to express emotions.
We introduce tools like:
- Visual cues and emoticons
- Creative expression (drawing, colours)
This helps children:
- Recognize their emotions
- Express them safely
Reduce frustration and outbursts
Parent as a Partner
A child’s development does not happen in isolation.
We work closely with parents to:
- Share regular feedback
- Align home and learning strategies
- Support emotional well-being of the family
Because a supported parent creates a supported child.

We do not prepare children to fit into society—we prepare society to understand them better.
